I am more than fine. infact i am busy thinking of something to make me stay forever😀 . RIA, thats my smart, creative and beautiful host sister is making my stay here too GREAT to even put in words. My host mom is the BEST cook since jaime olivier and i am looking forward to watching soccer matches with my host dad.😁 School is fabulous. still getting used to not having to wear uniform everyday...the kids have a lot of questions and im enjoying the look on their faces when i answer them...hahaha...ALL IN ALL I HOPE FOR BETTER DAYS TO COME AND SOME SCHNEE BALL SCHLACHT.

Guten Abend Frau Petra, everything is going great! Alina and I are getting on like a house on fire and i love the family already to bits. First day of school was amazing, I picked up many German words, I don´t really feel like a stranger and more but rather one of the family! I can´t wait to send you all the photos of Alina and I in the snow!!! It is freezing but I love it! Can´t wait to experience more! i am so excited!!! Meine Zeit in Deutschland ist sehr cool! viel Späß! Familie Hantke ist sehr nett und die Kinder in meine Klasse ist auch nett und inteligent. Meine Deutsch ist viel besser! Ich habe schon für meine klasse ein presentation gemacht. Die Kinder denkst Südafrika ist sehr schön und unsere Schule ist auch viel anders.
Ich habe gestern abend für mein Gastfamilie Pfankuchen gebacht und das war sehr "lekker" (South African style). Heute morgen wir haben plätzchen und keckse gebacht.
Kann wir nicht mit Emirates 30kg mit nehm?

vielen Dank für Ihre nette E-mail. Das da ein „anderer“ Mensch kommt, können wir schon aus den vergangenen Telefonaten und E-mails erahnen. Über eine E-mail habe ich mich besonders gefreut; die mit der Aussage, dass Pia so bald nicht nach Hause möchte. Da wir wissen, dass unser Kind gerne mit uns zusammen ist und auch ihr zuhause mag, ist das ein super Kompliment an die Gastfamilie, das Gastland und natürlich auch an die Organisation – Eltern beruhigt das ungemein
Wir freuen uns auf Sonntag. Pia’s jüngere Schwester führt eine Strichliste und zählt bereits die Tage bis zu Pia’s Heimkehr.

Südafrika ist der Hammer!
erst hatte ich ein bisschen angst von wegen Familie und so, aber die Familie war der perfeckt. Die Leute da sind viel netter als hier und auch nicht immer so ernst. Das Land ist so extrem vielfältig: es gibt steppe, palmen am meer und wüstenähnliche gegenden.
Wenn jemand mal einen Austausch machen will: südafrika ist geil!
P.S.: Das Englisch wird auch um einiges besser!

🤔 frau jacobi, are you sure you didnt make a typing mistake because in the e-mail you sent me it says " free baggage allowance 20kg" but when we came over it was 30kg??? i hope this is a mistake because other wise im in big trouble. other than that everything is still going great thanx the snow is cold but amazing!!

hallo!! also, wo fange isch an? da isch soviel zu sagen!noch nur 30 Tage, dann fliegen wir alle wieder zuruck nasch SÜdafrika.. Guten Tag Frau Petra! I thought I would try a little German! I cannot believe that we (me and the rest of the December group) are departing very shortly for Germany! I think many of us are really very excited! I have heard many amazing things about Germany and my host sister Alina, is a wonderful person and I cannot wait to meet them at the train station. This is so amazing and I am really exciting! I have been communicating with Alina and her Family in Dinslaken since the day i received your e-mail and I cannot wait. My parents are just a little worried (I think they are going to miss me too much 😉 ) but I know they will survive it. I am really looking forward to landing in Frankfurt. I would also just like to thank you and Frau Nicole for everything that you have done for me, I really do appreciate everything and I cannot wait to host a German pupil in South Africa next year! I hope I can convince Alina to come and be an exchange student to South Africa next year because I would love to host her! Thank you once again!

es ist ja eigentlich schon überfällig... aber doch nie zu spät...zu sagen, dass alles super läuft.
Lea geht es sehr gut in SA und sie fühlt sich sooo wohl, dass der Abschied nicht ganz leicht wird. Die Gastfamilie hat sie sehr herzlich aufgenommen und ich denke, dass Lea immer seltener zu Hause anruft, kann nur ein gutes Zeichen sein. Telefonieren ist allerdings auch nicht immer ganz einfach mit dem Handy. Leider hat die Familie keine Landline.
Schule in Sa ist ganz toll und viel besser und lockerer als in Deutschland, und die Menschen sind lustig , vor allem die Mitschüler immer fröhlich und freundlich.
Die Safari am Anfang war wohl auch ein super einschneidendes Erlebnis.
Danke, dass Sie das für die kleine Gruppe doch noch möglich gemacht haben.
Wir sind schon sehr gespannt auf die Lea, die am 12 Dez. wiederkommt. Sicherlich hat sie sich durch diese Erfahrung verändert.
Ich glaube, sie wäre gerne noch länger geblieben.

Hallo Frau Jacobi,
knapp 4 Monate sind seit der Rückkehr unseres Sohnes Melvin von seinem Südafrika-Abenteuer
vergangen. Das Erlebte ist immer wieder Gegenstand von Gesprächen in der Familie und auch im Bekanntenkreis.
In seiner ersten mail an uns schrieb Melvin: "Danke, dass Ihr mir dies hier ermöglicht habt." (das sagt doch alles, oder!?)
Der Kontakt zu seiner Gastfamilie Seale ist natürlich vorhanden; die Jungs chatten sehr viel.
Der nächste Flug nach Südafrika ist gebucht! Die Osterferien verbringt Melvin bei den Seales und wir schauen uns bei der
Gelegenheit auf einer Tour (Johannesburg - Panorama-Route - Krüger - Durban - Bloemfontein) ein wenig den
"schwarzen Kontinent" an und lernen dann auch die Familie kennen, die Melvin im vergangenen Sommer so herzlich

Un ob jemand von Hamburg aus nach Frankfurt fliegt?? Könnte sich am Check-In oder so treffen??
