I received your letter this morning, thanks for the interest. I´m having such a great time here in Germany. My host family is amazing and I can´t think of one evening that we went to bed before midnight(the days are just too short). Almost Christmas, my first Christmas away from home. Germany is so different from South Africa but it´s a stunning place. I just wish that I could understand more German... Hope all the other students are also having such an amazing time. Germany...well, what can I say? Or to be more specific...what can I say that I´m able to say in English?... I just want to quote something that I found on my hostsister´s wall in the first week of my stay, it was probably one of my biggest inspirations here in Germany, not only because it perfectly directed my thougts to what I was supposed to strive for in my stay, but also because I knew then that my host family also lived with the same mentality than I do.Ich werde nicht alles erreichen, was ich will, aber ich werde alles probieren, was ich kann.I won´t succeed in everything that I want to, but I will try everything that I can... Everyday holds so much new adventure, I take everything out of this three months that I am possibly able to and I am so thankful to have the privilege to be here it here. 😁 I just can´t believe that time flies so fast, it feels like that first day when sunny South Africa slowly dissapeared behind us was not more than a week ago. Yesterday someone asked me if I already dream in German. Leider nicht, nein, no unfortunately not, I dont´t dream in German, but I do dream about Germany!
for all exchange students in germany - enjoy the time that´s left.
for the people going to Switserland - I ´m sure it´s going to be a wonderful time, hope you enjoy it.
To FSA - thank you so much for giving us all this wonderful experience.
And last, but not least, to the poor souls back in South Africa...be jealous...
