Heya!
At first everything here seemed very strange because it is so different, but I am with a great host family and ive adjusted very quickly to the German way of living! We have so much fun together- riding horses (yip sometimes in the rain), cycling, swimming in the river at the bottom of their garden and taking the dogs for walks! I have hardly had any time to even think about missing home! I have even ridden a unicycle and been to a horse show for the fist time. I love the people I meet, the sunshine and the crazy things we get up too!

Heute vor einem Jahr ging mein Flug in einen unvergesslichen Monat in Südafrika los! Es kommt mir vor, dass es schon 3 Jahre oder so her ist, dass ich dort war.. Ich vermisse jeden Tag, den ich dort genießen durfte und ich vermisse meine Freunde von dort so sehr..

😀 I am having the time of my life here in Germany. It is very beautiful here. I enjoy school and I have already made nice friends who teach me Deutsch 😁 I am having a lot of fun, I have already been invited to a birthday party in my first week here. I have very crazy and very funny friends here. My host family is very nice and very welcoming, there have a very beautiful home and they do their very best to make understand and learn Deutsch. I have two host sisters, one is my age and she can speak a little english and the other one is 11. She can´t speak english. they say this is her first year doing english. but she´s making an effort. School here is great ,even though I don´t understand they explain everything to me. School is good except u run out of clothes to wear 😁 I love it here. This programme has given me the greatest experience of my life. Thank you Petra and your team too.

Guten Tag... Mir geht´s gut. (I am fine) My host sister is trying to teach me some German. :DD Very funny!! The german beginning was her idea as well. 😁 I love my host family very much. Thank you to everybody who helped set it up so perfectly. Germany is such a beautiful place!! And so green!!!! The busses are very exciting. Thankfully my host sister always knows where we are, otherwise I would get lost.😀 But still, Germany is wonderful... Joané & Rieke

The happy world of Haribo´s!
Hallo! Since I arrived I have been exposed to many different things, including sitting in German classrooms, going with the bus to school, making great new friends, riding on trains and many other things that would fill this page.. I had a different perception of what germans would be like, and to my surprise they are just like us, except maybe everything is done a little bit better. They are very relaxed, and AWESOME! I am picking up a few german words and am very proud of myself :D This is truly a great experience and I wish I could stay here longer. My German family and friends are great!

Last Monday we welcomed 120 pupils from South Africa who will be staying with German host families for the next four weeks. We wish all of them a wonderful time with their host families, many new friends and a lot of interesting and amazing experience in Germany.
