Hallo Petra! Germany is amazing! My host familly is really so kind. They are trying very hard to make my stay in Germany a time to remember, and they are succeeding without doubt! I have made some very good friends here, we even went so France for 3 days on a school trip! We do a lot of things and i wish i could stay longer, there is so much more that i would like to learn, experience! To my host sister, julia Topp, ´Jy is pragtig!´

Die ersten Tage in Suedafrika
Hallo Petra,
Wie in der e-Mail angekuendigt, schreibe ich nun ein paar Zeilen in euer Gaestebuch. Ich bin nun seit Samstag hier in Suedafrika und ich geniesse die Zeit und die neuen Eindruecke wirklich sehr. Meine Gastfamilie ist sehr nett und mit den Gastgeschwistern verstehe ich mich wirklich gut. Im Moment sind hier ja noch Winterferien, aber am Montag geht es dann auch in die Schule.
Obwohl ich erst ein paar Tage hier bin, habe ich schon einiges gesehen. Meine Familie lebt in Marble Hall, ein kleiner Ort rund 2 Stunden nordoestlich von Johaneesburg, auf einer Farm, als mitten in der Natur. Gleich am zweiten Tag hier in diesem ganz anderen Land durfte ich hat meine Familie einen Game Drive mit mir durch deren Gelaende gemacht. Es war wirklich atemberaubend Giraffen, Zebras und ein paar andere Tiere so nah zu sehen, sodass die ersten Fotos natuerlich schon laengst geschossen sind.
Bisher ist es wirklich eine wirklich schoene Zeit hier und man merkt, dass Suedafrika wirklich ganz anders ist als Deutschland, aber es ist wirklich schoen ein anderes Land und Kultur kennenzulernen. Die Menschen hier sind alle wirklich sehr freundlich und offen und ich hoffe und glaube, dass es eine unglaubliche Zeit in diesem Land wird, in dem das Wetter bisher, besonders am Tag, einfach sehr, sehr angenehm ist.
Allen die in den naechsten Wochen nach Suedafrika kommen, wuensche ich einen guten Flug und eine unvergessliche Zeit.

I´m sorry that I haven´t written until now, but the first week went by so fast that I haven´t even thaught about being a participant in the youthexchange. It feels like I´m apart of my hostfamily already so in my mind I´m not one of a group anymonre !!
Germany is so beautiful and we live in a small town so there are trees and water everywhere ! My hostfamily is really the best because they teach me everything about the country and its history wich is verey interesting and funny to me because there are alot of hand signals and weird words used to communicate. They also have my whole stay planned out already so we´re busy the whole time and I´m scared that time will run out too quickly !!
Thankyou to all of the people that made and still make this oppurtunity possible... I can´t wait to return the favour to my hostsister Alina 😀

Wow so far the best experiance I have ever had 😁 I LOVE IT!!!!My host family is incredible and so is the school I attend(nice being out of a all boys school for a while)talking about that the girls omg amazing😉 or atleast in this town,love the change exept the long days hard trying to get used to that,but im sure it will come in due time.hope all you SOUTH AFRICANS are doing as well as I am i will see you all in 3 weeks in Frankfurt😉
