i was thhheee best family of all my first day at school was very funny, everyone wants to hear me talking german and when i say something wrong they just laugh at me! Germany is so different and a lot getting use to! i hope all the other sudents are just as happy as i am, and that there is noproblem! viel dank!

Hey Petra, I jst wanted to let you know that am having a fabulous time with my host family and espcially my host sister, she is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo cool and I have no complaints or problems, only thank-yous; 4 the wonderfull oppertunity and the gr8 jugde of character.

Safely at my German-home
I am safe and very well. My host family is fantastic and gives me a lot of freedom. I have no negative feedback apart from the language barrier that is frunstrating. I completely understand why German students are not keen to speak lots of English, but I wish my German were better. I only know a few phrases like: Guten Morgen, Tag, Abend, Wie geht es dir? Mir get es gut, un do? Bitte, bitte shern, vetter, fantastish ect. But my vocabulary is getting bigger by the minute.😀

Life in Bispingen
Hallo Petra!! Life in Bispingen is wonderful! I live with a family with three sweet sisters and a lovely labrador. Every day is a new adventure, whether it invloves going to school or driving to Soltau in the dark when it is only half past four in the afternoon! Thank you so much for your hard work and patience to get our group safely to our german families.

Life with the Schraders
I arrived at Wuppertal Hbf, climbed off the train and my host family was eagerly waiting for my appearance already. I was warmly greated and within minutes we were at home.
I was made welcome into the family and I had a sense of comfort in the house. On the table, there were some Chrstmas sweets and biscuts layed out. It was so amazingly beautiful that I first thought they were only decorations for the house.
I had a good rest in the night. I woke up the next morning and had rye bread with all sorts of cheese and schinken for breakfast.
School was interesting as well, very different from the school which I go to back in South Africa.
Each day will be an enjoyable day filled with adventures, whether it is inside or outside the house. Each family member makes make the visit for me worthwhile.
I am glad that I am finally experiencing life with the Germans and I am excitid for the rest of the month that is lying ahead.
