😀 As i was coming here i was filled with excitement and adreneline to meet my new family!! The whole journey was very exciting for me as i got to meet different people and make new friends. i arrived in Goslar in the evening and got to see the night views of Germany. i must say the houses are beautiful and so are the towns. i love how everybody is excited about christmas and i love the decorations here. the family greeted me with open arms and i am looking forward to the rest of the holiday here. i am filled with excitement and i hope everyone has just as much fun as i am having ! wishing you all the best! and i thank fsa!😀

That´s all I can say about my first one and a half days here. It´s really been fun and intersting.I´ve met many people and everyone so far, including strangers in the street, has convinced me that the description of Germans as ´´not being quite as friendly as South Africans are´´ is not true.I think I´ve managed to do quite a bit already while I´ve been here, certainly more than what I do at home, even during school terms(lol)and I´ve enjoyed it.My host family members are really warm, friendly, conversational people and I really feel blessed to have been placed with such a family.
The only bad side to everything is the fact that I´ll only be staying for a month,Germany really is ´extraordinairily´ interesting, from the houses, the difference in culture, the different plants and trees, the public transport, the schools.tv channels etc.
Any feelings of doubt and hesitation about coming have been totally eliminated,it really is cool here.
Hope everyone else is having a good time and has fit in easily with their families!!
😀

Dear Petra
While I was busy writing this message I sat and wonder what words could I use to describe my feelings the best. I mean there are just so many : excited, nervous, cheerful, agog. But then I realized something...words can´t describe what I am feeling at this moment!!
I want to thank the FSA Youth Exchange for the opportunity they are giving us, we will not disappoint you!
And Petra, thank you for everything you have done up to now and for everything you still will do. All of us ,including me appreciate it very much.
Only 7 days left before we leave :)
I can´t wait!!
Greeting from South Africa
