German Exchange 2022
I have been on exchange in Germany for a week today, and I can easily say it has been one of the best weeks of my life. I have had the opportunity to experience a new culture, try new foods, and make incredible friends who I have already made unforgettable memories with! I have felt so welcomed by my host family and the FSA family and have loved every minute in Germany! Being on exchange has taught me so many life lessons and given me an opportunity if a life time!

I am having a great time in Germany but being away from my family and being in a different environment is hard, but I know this is an experience I will never forget and I can't wait to see all the adventures I have yet to come.

How I am Feeling
I am so excited to be going to Germany! I have been counting down the days, only 16 days now. Since I started taking German as a subject in Grade 8 , going on exchange to Germany became my dream and now it’s all becoming a reality.

No words to explain what I am feeling so far! Everything is falling into place and my bag is almost packed! So excited am I. I wont find this journey scary at al because who wouldn’t want to expierence this?

Ich bin jetzt schon 8 Wochen in Pretoria und bleibe leider nur noch 4 Wochen. Ich hab alles von Anfang an genossen, ich wurde unglaunlich gut aufgenommen von allen, verstehe mich super gut mit meiner Gastfamilie. In der Schule bin ich bei jeder Klasse willkommen und verbringe die Zeit dort mit Stufe 10 bis 12 und fühLe mich bei allen wohl.
Ich muss ehrlich sagen die ersten Wochen habe ich immer wieder dran gedacht wie krass es wär mit meinen Freunden und Familie wieder was zu machen oder zumindest meine Freunde hierherzuholen. Aber inzwischen bereue ich es nicht länger hier bleiben zu können. Ich mache Pläne 2023 mein Abschluss hier zumachen und nicht in Deutschland. Mit meiner Gastfamilie habe ich mich wie mit meiner eigenen eingelebt und gehe im Dezember mit denen nach Mozambique.
Es kann nichts schiefgehen, also an alle die bedenken haben, geht einfach.
